Its a very noble idea in my opinion. You don’t have ash trays full of waste, bad smell, second hand smoke, and its overall healthier than regular cigarettes (not to mention cheaper)
The only cons I can think of is the mental addiction some people have to cigarettes, where such a change to electronic ones would be difficult to “appreciate” at first.
Of course this is an American speaking from a basis of American laws, here we don’t have as strict smoking laws, and thus less of a need to adapt.
The main point is that they do not contain any tar but still contain nicotine. This means that the smoke does not have the serious negative health implications that tobacco smoke does, but people who are addicted to nicotine can still get a ‘fix’ from the nicotine. The other advantage is that they do not contain tobacco, so it is completely legal to smoke these in premises covered by the smoking ban in the UK.
