you know the average cologne has millions chemicals

  2. panikx333 says:

the FDA definitely has alternative motives than the care of the public. there are carcinogens found in the ELECTRONIC cigarette, (carcinogens linked to cancer), but whats funny is that this level of carcinogens are extremely low compared to regular cigarettes.. oh thats also not including the 10000 toxic chemicals that regular cigarettes have and e cigarettes do not.

  3. Capnwabbit says:

I remember years ago thinking “Ideally, what would be great is if someone could figure out a way to produce the nicotine, without all the other stuff..” At the time I was thinking of a cigar-sized thing or like a pipe. I’ve just got my stik today, am liking it and just ordered 100 cartridges. Will it replace my smoking? Probbaly not, but for eating out, on planes and stuff like that, what’s not to like?

  4. Jaspost says:

Yes – I thought it was funny how the video turned out to look like an advert, but Chex contacted me asking if they could do a segment on this product! As far as the research goes – it will take awhile, but meantime my athsma is gone since I switched to e-smoking, and the ingredients are not carcinogenic so I figure I’m better off this way than smoking cigarettes. I also know a few elderly folks who swear that they would be in the hospital right now with lung issues if it wasn’t for e-smokes.

This is a “Health Watch”? To me, it is just more advertising for SmokeStik…a product that has not been researched nearly enough! My take on this (and yes, I do own one of the darned things) is SPAM AND SCAM!

dropout2001, you hit it on the nail.
I also don’t understand how reinforcing the behavior is necessarily a bad thing.
Makes you think what they’re trying to protect us from: is it cancer and the likes, or is it “behavior”? Or does the behavior of smoking cause cancer?

And I couldn’t have said it better. drinking orange juice _does indeed_ reinforce the behavior of drinking alcohol in exactly the same way that drawing vapor reinforces the behavior of smoking.

  7. DROPOUT2001 says:

“Reinforces the behavior of smoking?” WHAT? We’re reminded of Puritan laws against dancing because it leads to fornication. The problem with this logic is that if fornication is already legal, what’s the point of outlawing dancing? Canada, like the US, grows a LOT of tobacco. Canada, like the US, is more interested in tax revenues than in saving people’s lives. E-cigs are saving lives, without question.

BTW, did you know that sipping orange juice “reinforces the behavior” of alcoholism?

  8. Jaspost says:

I beleive the zero nicotene version is still available in Canada, and the regular version can be ordered through the international website. Coupon code “Kestral” gets you 20% off if anyone is interested.

  9. Poseidon500 says:

Health Canada isnot approving them. I call skulduggery on that.

We finally have away around the GOv.s revenu and Health Canada bans it.

  10. wendisheward says:

Sounds healthier than cigarettes! Why isn’t the government promoting these as an alternative to tobacco? Are they addicted to taxes?
