To change the cartridge, you need to pull off the "filter" mouth piece. Open a new one and just put it on. Leave the atomizer attached to the battery. If you are getting liquid in your mouth, pop off the end piece of the mouth piece and wipe it out with a Q-tip. Replace the end piece and try that. If you buy some e-liquid then you will pull off the mouthpiece, stick a paperclip into the end you would put in your mouth and pop out the little tiny cartridge with the "Fluffy filler" in it. Drip a few drops of liquid in it until moist but not puddled and put it back in the mouthpiece, reassemble and you're good to go. Unless you fall in love with this model, which I doubt you're going to, I would totally recommend you shop around for another model. I HATED mine. LOL Check out this forum there is a model thread on the RN4081 that helped me until I got something better.
